Water Damage in Middle Island - Commercial building
Upon arrival, SERVPRO of Port Jefferson met with the building owner, walked the premise and determined the cause of loss was an unsecured roof. The damage affected the main level lobby, multiple restrooms, multiple offices/conference rooms, and the basement.
The basement had approximately 2 1/2 feet of ground water that made its way through multiple layers of building materials. We started with the extraction of water using a sump pump and extractor. After the water was emptied out of the basement we set up the proper amount of drying equipment (air movers and dehumidifiers). We had this business up and running in three days.
